Depart from US

Depart US for May 10 arrival in Portugal.

May 10

Lisbon Airport Arrival

Welcome in Lisbon, Portugal! You will be welcomed by our English speaking assistant and be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Standard check-in @3pm. Enjoy the rest of the day fre at your own leisure.

May 11

Enjoy a market tour in Lisbon

Through this unique experience, you will get the chance to directly buy fresh ingredients for a cooking class with our chef. We will meet our chef and have a hands-on experience preparing a traditional Portuguese meal. At the end of preparing this meal, you get to enjoy your creation with excellent Portuguese wines.

Sintra and Cabo da Roca

 

We will head to Sintra where you will discover mountaintop medieval fortifications, vibrant fairytale castles, lush forests, and eccentric labyrinth gardens all in one location!

We will visit Pena Palace. The colorful tones of the palace stand out as the recognized jewel in the crown of Serra de Sintra. After lunch, we will drive in a panoramic tour to the steep cliffs of Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of the European continent.

May 13

Visiting The Portuguese Venice

 

After breakfast, we set out toward Aveiro, called “the Portuguese Venice”, with its canals anchored with colored fishing boats.

 

We will stop at the train station to admire the amazing panel of glazed tiles that decorated the facade and illustrate Aveiro’s monuments and the entire region. Then we will have a short workshop learning how to make Ovos Moles which is a specialty of the city. We will also enjoy a boat tour on a Moliceiro. After lunch, we will drive to Porto and you will have the rest of the day free at your own leisure.

May 14

Discovering Porto

 

This morning, go beyond the most known attractions to discover Porto’s food and wine secrets. We will tread off the beaten path and eat like a local. We will visit 5 unique locations. At each tasting location on you will taste an important element of the cuisine of Porto and Northern Portugal. You will also learn about the families and history behind each of the restaurants, cafes, and specialty food shops that we will visit. In between tasting locations, you will hear about the history, architecture and culture while you walk the streets of this beautiful city called Porto. ​
